]]> Key Haven project in the Florida Keys. This seventy-five-thousand-gallon pool has a lazy river underneath the home! Featuring a waterfall and spa suspended above the pool. This second story pool spills over into the natural coral waterfall flowing into the main pool and lazy river below. The colors of this pool reflect the warm coral rocks and the vibrant hues of the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico.
This dream backyard required extensive structural engineering to keep the massive home suspended above. Construction of this project was finished in 2022. Additionally, the lazy river features 2,000 GPM acceleration stations capable of turning the lazy river into what feels more like white water rapids!

What can’t we say about this custom pool in east Sarasota – it’s nearly got is all, except maybe a spa or hot tub! Located on several acres this sprawling tropical lagoon pool features a full width walk in beach style entry, massive fire pit, a dock to jump off and of course a full service swim up bar complete with an outdoor TV for the adults. The limestone boulder waterfalls contrast beautifully with the light blue interior finish and offer ample jumping and seating areas across the entire lagoon. Former clients in love with all things ocean ask Lucas to remodel the tiny pool in their new home that sits just yards away from the Gulf of Mexico.  Starting with a tiny pool under the house and little room to work, the Cortez, FL project presented some serious obstacles for the Lucas Lagoons crew. While the weather and minor bumps and bruises to the house could have potentially slowed the project, this custom designed lagoon pool shines through with exactly what the clients wanted. Instead of building a pool to fit the house, the natural lagoon pool feels as though the house was built around it. With tons of natural Florida limestone for a true coral reef look, a sand bottom, dual fire pits, in-pool barstools and bar tops, love seat with therapy jets and a massive outdoor living area, this pool and outdoor kitchen remodel extends the home to the waters edge.

]]> In true Island Style, the Martinez family requested a kid-friendly pool that would also serve as the ultimate stay-cation getaway in their backyard. Featured on Episode 6 of Insane Pools, this project came with a few surprises and on the fly design changes. The first was to incorporate 8 ton of turquoise Caribbean stone the Martinez’ had shipped to Florida for their pool! With a huge 60×80′ area to work with the pool uses 72 ton of Florida Limestone and incorporates 150 sq ft of beach area for the grandkids, along with another 100 sq ft of sandy beach bottom in the shallow end. The turquoise stone ended up making the firepit, a 2nd smaller water feature and accents for the back wall of the main grotto. A large limestone boulder with a massive natural hole creates the perfect privacy wall while adding to the tropical feel with a pygmy date palm growing through it. In addition to the pool the entire yard was extensively landscaped with tropical foliage, including adonidias, raphis, areca, cat and euro fan palms along with a hammock between two coconut palms in a special shell covered relaxation area. As a surprise for the clients, Lucas added a faux rock outdoor shower that matches the look of the pool.
