Lucas heads west to Bountiful, UT to build a dream backyard on the side of a mountain. Faced with many challenges, Lucas creates a Tuscan themed Utah custom pool complete with a spa, the biggest linear fire wall he’s ever built and a grotto with a 23,000 pound lid!

Lucas Lagoons builds a lot of custom pools in Sarasota, but we also travel all over the State of Florida to build pools. The question starts like this – does Lucas Lagoons build pools in my location? Sometimes it’s a client asking what the cost of a Lucas Lagoons pool would be if we travel, and other times we get asked to consult or design a custom pool with another builder or outdoor designer. For this Jacksonville custom pool lagoon, the Pratt Guys got in touch with us about collaborating to build an “Insane Pool” for a great client. And what an amazing custom pool and living space this natural rock lagoon pool turned out to be. The Pratt Guys and the client had already done some insane outdoor design, but the custom rock lagoon pool needed to be just as captivating. Lucas Lagoons traveled to Tennessee with the Pratt Guys to begin the process of picking out the perfect rocks for this amazing pool build. Back at the Jacksonville custom pool, Lucas Lagoons built the massive grotto and waterfalls from the Tennessee fieldstone rocks we picked out and the first Jacksonville custom pool  build came to life with the Pratt Guys! The design fits the active outdoor lifestyle of the client and incorporates plenty of fun elements from a putting green to disc golf, volleyball to grilling, lounging and more. On this episode of Insane Pools, a multi-generational, environmentally conscious family living in a designated bird sanctuary in Osprey, FL asks design expert Lucas Congdon to create both a custom-built pool paradise and a bird pond oasis, all in one outdated, rundown backyard. After finding out a pool remodel won’t be possible, Lucas has a change in design plans and builds a new custom pool for the client. The final design of the custom pool in Osprey, Florida includes a natural Florida limestone fresh-water pond for the birds juxtaposed with a ModernZEN pool, gas fire pit and an oversize infinity edge custom spa. To complete the custom pool design, Lucas added plenty of outdoor living space including an outdoor dining area, an outdoor kitchen with bar, grill and seating plus a large deck joins the custom modern pool to the natural Florida pond.

On episode 10 of Insane Pools Lucas faces an epic challenge building a Roman Pool fit for a palace on the Gulf of Mexico. Lucas journeys far outside his comfort zone and even taps Emperor Caesar for help on his quest to fulfill his clients’ dream of living in a castle by the sea.

Featuring a spa surrounded by sculptures and towering columns, the 180 degree wrap around luxury outdoor living space has ample room to relax, entertain and soak in the sun and sunsets right on the Gulf of Mexico. The bubbling urns and fountains seem to flow right under the travertine deck to fill the pool and spa, with curved stairs rising to the balcony to take in the majestic view of the palatial Roman Pool. While this classical pool design differs from the traditional Lucas Lagoons pool design and build, the resulting masterpiece is truly fit for a King and Queen.
